Trusted care since 1930
Taluk Headquarters Hospital Sulthan Bathery was established in 1930 as a dispensary under the British Government and later upgraded to a Taluk Headquarters Hospital in 1995.
In 2008, the hospital was relocated to its present campus at Fairland, spread across 4.5 acres, with modern infrastructure including OP and Administration blocks, a multi-storey IP block, and dedicated units for Dialysis, X-ray, Blood Centre, and Mortuary.
A major milestone was achieved with the completion of a 7-storeyed Women & Children Hospital in 2024, which was opened to the public in 2025.
Supported by the Sulthan Bathery Block Panchayath, the hospital plays a vital role in delivering healthcare services to the people of Wayanad and neighbouring regions of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
